Somerset Bridge to Heydon Walk

Meet at the Front Street, Hamilton, Ferry Terminal on Fridays at 1:30.

The ferry will take us to Somerset Bridge.  From there we visit Hog Bay Park, then on to Fort Scaur, built to repel a suspected American Invasion!  The trail leads along the cliff top to Heydon , an area of tiny fields and woodlands, to visit the charming old home, now a chapel, built in 1620.

Across the road is the Victorian Tearoom, where we will enjoy a tradtional  "Afternoon Tea" before catching the bus back to Hamilton.

$60 per person, all inclusive.  

2 person minimum.  Must be prebooked, 24 hours notice required.

 


Family Tours

All the family will enjoy this special tour designed with the children in mind.  Age appropriate activities, and stories, together with stops at places of interest, will keep parents and children happily occupied.

Somerset Bridge to Horseshoe Bay

Meet at the Hamilton Ferry Terminal on Front Street at 1:30. The ferry takes us to the world’s smallest drawbridge, where we join the railway trail.

We walk past little fields, woodlands and cottages. Views over the ocean provide plenty of photo opportunities.

A short diversion takes in 3 old forts and a beach used by whalers.

The walk ends at Horseshoe Bay Beach, one of the world’s top 10 beaches.

You can stop here for a swim, or catch a bus to your next destination. 

24 hours notice required.

Minimum of 2 persons.
